Which study material to refer for CFA Level 2 exams

You cleared Level I of the CFA Program after all your hard work. But guess what, it's just the start. Now is the time for CFA Level 2 exam. Well to let you know that Level II varies significantly from that of the previous level and is the hardest of all.

Level I was more concerned with checking your skills. The Level II Software, on the other hand, measures your concept knowledge to decide whether the principles can be implemented in real-life scenarios. The angle of the institute must be known to clear level II of the curriculum.

Let us now talk about the approach that should make preparation for the Level II exam relatively effective. So no shortcuts are open. It's a big challenge. And they'll know, like I said, whether or not you put in the effort. The test works well to decode the test. So thorough, well-planned you should have a plan in place. Nothing occurs without preparation.

Plan for Study

In CFA level 2 exam prep, you need enthusiasm and energies before the end of the marathon.

  • Start with topics like derivatives, fixed earnings, or alternative investments.
  • You will transfer to the heart of the program, i.e. once you are finished with these subjects. Income statements, financial analysis, and equities corporate finance.
  • The third segment can include Quantitative Technology, Portfolio Management & Economics.
  • In the beginning, a challenging topic will bring down your morality.

You can only concentrate your initial focus on rhythm building. Also, one-two hours' studies at the beginning are appropriate.

Go through the books again and make sure you do not take longer than five days to do so. Concentrate more on the things you are rusty on.

All the modifications and checks have now been made and the review is only 15-18 days away. Ensure that you remain safe. Drink enough water and eat nutritious food because just before the test you do not want to fall sick.

Study Material

  • To start on a sound foot, review the important topics of level I.
  • CFA level 2 study material is divided into lectures and LOS (Learning Outcome Statements) is available under reading. Choose one reading at a time, watch your video before looking at the LOS. Make sure you understand how to read LOS, otherwise go through the video again.
  • Problems are posed at the end of each reading. Resolve them! Resolve them! Do not, however, judge yourself by the score because these problems are only a test of the idea that you read. Low scoring just means that you have to read again.
  • Many candidates just concentrate on the paper and ignore LOS. You must be mindful that the institute will test you on LOS. Concentrate on them, then.
  • There are then formulas. There are formulas. Are you anyone mugging the equations? Don't you! Do that. Comprise them to learn how this works. There are too many formulas for you to get a headache in Level II problems.
  •

Complete all subject

Ten subjects – each in weight and complexity is different. The choice of the order of topics can be confusing. You are equipped with a specified procedure by the Institute. It is just an order that is not based on its complexity. The list is built to keep you from losing your flow. You have to go through all the CFA level 2 study notes.

Practice some exams

A man is made better by practice. So CFA level 2 test series is very important. The exercise tests must be taken as much as possible, as many intelligent candidates did not pass the examinations just because they were not doing well.

When all your readings have been done, keep your books aside and get the first set of test papers resolved. And do so until the readings are checked.

The practice test must show you how the test questions will be. There are a few points that follow:

  • The evaluation requires case studies
  • Before reading the case study read the questions
  • Learn easily

Some tips regarding CFA level 2 exams

To pass the CFA examination, you must have a proper CFA level 2 study schedule.

Balanced Study

The materials of Level 2 are vast and intense in that more questions based on equations need a definition to be applied. On the other hand, this works for you if you concentrate your attention on learning the main concepts and test your learning with realistic questions. Set a fixed time for and definition and continue to the next one until there is a lot to cover. You must ensure that at least 70% of all content is understood rather than 100% of the curriculum.

Make a Summary

I have outlined my information for this definition on paper during my analysis of each definition. Do this in particular for subjects you find difficult to understand. It improves recall and you will be grateful for brief feedback closer to the tests.

Skimming Question

A technique that works well in the analysis of objects is first to read the questions quickly in the vignette. Then you can read the vignette more carefully and concentrate on looking for the answer. I found that the back and forth testing between vignette and questions was greatly reduced-a super time saver.

Highlight Keywords

When you read questions and vignettes in combination with the above, always emphasise keywords. You can see and recall complicated wording and minimize costly mistakes by reading more at this level. Some of them include 'but' 'not,' 'most/least possible,' 'closest to' etc.

Time Balancing

The only 10-15 vignettes in each paper are 4-6 questions per vignette. But I think the pressure is the same! It might seem more calming now. You just don't have 3 minutes per question because the time to read the vignette must be taken into account, and on average it is 1-2 pages long. Therefore, give yourself up to 18 minutes per piece, and then shoot and go when time is over.

Take last week off

It is critical that every level takes one week off before the last-minute test. This time, however, I added a further week of personal vacation to offer an extra boost. Within a short time interval, you can hear about a load of practical questions, the summed up notes, and the formulation analysis. If you find yourself idle, get additional content. Now is the time to do it, and not regret it.

Mock exams for CFA

We call these funny tests, and all of them are interactive. The first of these two is now also handled in collaboration with CFA companies worldwide. There are, then, several partner companies that run the test in a location and who supply it and distribute it if you want exam-like conditions. That's one choice, therefore. If you do not have or are not convenient for a participating society in the vicinity, we give it as an online examination. These two examinations contain a tutorial. You don't have to spend three hours examining each question. You know.

Format of the question

Let us talk about the format for questions in Level II. Therefore, Level II no longer covers your individual questions which you saw in Level I. What you have instead is a short story or what we call a vignette, and four to six similar questions follow. It's 4 / 6 or it'll either be an object set for four or six. In 2019, the CFA Institute experimented with a limited collection of products for the first time. This is my mark and applies to object sets of four questions of multiple choice.

So they will continue the experiment even more in 2020 and you will see more than half or half of the questions in the four-point format and the other half in six-point format. However, there will be 60 questions in total for the morning's test, which means that every question will be 3 minutes every morning and it will take 180 minutes just like the session in the afternoon. Both are 180 minutes, so every question is answered for three minutes. So you can again find, once again, that the time per question is twice as much as what you saw in level I.

Concluding Note

Learn the content, measure yourself, note the impact of testing. The questions found in the notes and read-out instructions in the CFA curricula are often asked at the end of the modules. But I don't want you to throw away books even though you benefit from the Sweser notes absolutely. At least you would like to try out the questions in the curriculum book which end in every section. It is very, very powerful, and provides a strong base for your learning that you can truly rely on exams. Additionally, distribute it regularly and practice QBank problems. Again, at the right time, your activity feed will prompt you.
